The percentage of job offers made to new candidates that get turned down because of compensation related issues?
According to CareerBuilder’s recent Staffing & Recruiting Pulse Survey, approximately two thirds (67 percent) of a candidates’ salary expectations exceed the employers’ offers. This data is gathered from offers made via staffing companies and represents an increase of 6 percentage points over last year.
It should come as no surprise that compensation was among the top reasons candidates turned down offers in the last year, but also one of the main reasons why employees changed jobs.
