I’ve been blogging on staffing trends for some time, in particular the impact of a very tight candidate marketplace our clients, and all employers, will experience in 2016. For readers who’ve been active in the hiring marketplace throughout the recession, you’re already aware of how quickly and dramatically the hiring marketplace has changed. As late as 2013, hiring managers were still having their way in terms of who they hired and how. Fast forward to 2015, and the marketplace has dramatically changed - not just because more employers are hiring, but because there are large gaps between the talent employers are seeking in their new hires, and the talent available in current candidate pools. According to a recent study by a leading job board, Career Builder, US employers will be turning towards flexible workers at a slightly higher rate in 2016 than they did in 2015.
