In case you haven’t had the opportunity to meet Nancy, here’s a quote from one of her colleagues that captures a piece of what Nancy has meant to us internally…..

I met Nancy almost 15 years ago, when I was contemplating joining the PACE team.  Nancy was sent to “close the deal”.  Walking into  Starbucks, and having not met her before…I was told to look for a professionally dressed “red-head” with glasses. And, there she was, greeting me like we had been friends, forever! 

Meeting Nancy that afternoon was all I needed to know I had to work at PACE!  From the moment I met this crazy, tenacious, outgoing, warm and engaging “red-head” it was obvious to me this was meant to be!

Flash forward and today I’m watching Nancy getting ready to retire and just have to say a few things.

Working with and learning from Nancy has been a game changer for me and my career in staffing.

Nancy  works harder and longer than most people I know.  Her dedication and bending over backwards attitude to help her customers and co-workers is unmatched.

To this day, I still learn from watching her in action and I wouldn’t be where I am in my career in staffing or PACE without her generous teachings and partnership.

Nancy Swanson is a force to be reckoned with and one of the kindest and genuine professionals I know.

There are NO Words….

….to describe this amazing woman who started working for us about 10 days after 9-11 – a time when PACE customers and the entire staffing industry faced serious concerns about “what’s next”.   It was a time when any interest in our services, or really anything to do with staffing, was not on our customer’s radar…..a set back “in the work environment” that just never seemed to phase Nancy who thrived not on negatives but on opportunity.  For Nancy this was a time where she and PACE could help our Northwest business community get back on track.  Every day she sold that vision to anyone who would listen and created a path for all of our recoveries.  

Nancy was a big part of the PACE journey then and has been for 20 years after – always finding a way to make what we do relevant to our client’s current circumstance.  She has been our rock thru thick and thin…always our advocate in our climb to “better.” 

As PACE’s owner, she has been the most awesome right hand “man”…..sharing our vision of service to our clients and employees, continually translating that vision into each employee’s every day behaviors.   When leaders tell you it “takes a village” they mean it, and some of us are blessed to have  a Nancy in their village.   She has been my “vision” partner and friend for over 20 years.  She represents the best of what PACE delivers to our customers…always their uncompromising advocate, always looking for a way to help them achieve their business and staffing goals. 

And Nancy doesn’t have to move out of the box to do that.  She lives “out of the box” and we like it that way.   

And so it is with both sadness and joy that we are entering into a new chapter of Nancy’s relationship to PACE and our customers. After 20 years Nancy is retiring from her full time role and is moving into a post retirement part-time role that we just know will tap into that special Nancy way of doing things that so many of our Customers take for granted.

We know that for many of you there are NO WORDS to describe our Nancy and we feel the same.  And we know you have to have experienced the difference to know what we mean.
