Congratulations to Group Health Cooperative and Providence Health and Services who have recently announced their partnership to provide expanded healthcare services to Spokane employers and health plan insureds.    According to recent press releases, Providence has been GHC’s main hospital partner for some time; but going forward, GHC and Providence will be working together to provide a comprehensive network of primary, specialty, hospital and post hospital care services to multiple health plan users.

The Providence hospital system,  which includes 32 hospitals in five states,  currently covers 65% of the Spokane market.  Their new partnership with GHC will expand their expertise in outpatient settings.  For GHC, the partnership represents their first attempt to make their strong physician and clinic network  available to subscribers of other health plans.

PACE has been providing GHC with temporary and contract staff in all areas of their Administration since 1990, and to various facilities of the Providence Health and Services organization since 2002.
